Pacifica Apartments - Commercial Installation
In January 2021, Blue Fitness completed the gym installation at the Pacifica - NZ’s Tallest Apartment Building.
Towering 178m high, The Pacifica is New Zealand’s tallest residential building and every inch of it is pure luxury.
Reaching high into the Auckland skyline, The Pacifica building façade is inspired by Māori and Pasifika flax weavings. These stunning glass panels bring a modern cultural touch to the City of Sails.
During the initial facility consultation, it was clear that the fitness facility required state-of-the-art commercial equipment to complement the luxury apartments, so our team presented a number of options that they knew would work perfectly.
Precor has been a driving force of innovation in the fitness industry which therefore makes them the 'go-to' when it comes to treadmills. The insight-driven design of the TRM 865 delivers optimal reliability, performance and efficiency for operators, and unparalleled feel and comfort for exercisers. The motor drive system improves performance, efficiency and reliability through redesigned Power Factor Correction making these the optimum choice for the Pacifica.
When it comes to cross-trainers, the trainers from Precor are proven leaders in reliability. This elliptical combine over 20 years of category leadership, has the lowest warranty claims and highest reliability and is defined by your feedback to deliver an optimal ownership experience. The EFX is an all-round quality piece, from the durability side to the ease of use. The simple design provides a more comfortable feel.
The self-powered Precor UBK 835 upright bike features custom-designed handlebars with integrated touch heart rate for maximum comfort and an efficient workout experience. One-handed seat adjustment on or off the bike, redesigned saddle for riding comfort and improved knee over pedal spindle (KOPS) geometry for efficient pedaling mean a smooth, comfortable workout.
This gym needed free weights, so the versatile range of ROCKIT Dumbbells, Plates, Barbells, and accessories was the best option as they are built to last due to their high-end commercial-grade quality.
For accessory storage the Pacifica opted for the X-CREATE module Torque rack which combines one 4' Ball Storage, three 4' Accessory Trays, and one Horizontal Weight Storage. This rack allows for storage of various functional accessories allowing the apartments guests to achieve a varied workout.
With the addition of the Precor leg press/ calf extension and Multi Press series, the clients of these apartments will be able to build strength which working on multiple machines to get a full body strength workout. Comfortable, oversized grips with multiple positions and simple seat adjustment make it easy for users to get in position for proper exercise form. Users can easily engage the add-on weight with a simple push of a lever to increase the work load.
Lastly, the PRECOR FTS Glide offers resistance training with the freedom of motion to increase core strength, balance, stability and coordination. Designed with a compact footprint and low height to fit any fitness facility, the FTS Glide is easy to use.
With a commercial quality gym installed, the clients and guests of the Pacifica will feel at ease while training due to the ergonomics of each piece of equipment making these both easy to use despite ability level.
To top this all off, The Pacifica has just been awarded a gold medal in the 2022 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards.
